The problem:
In Germany, consumers often face challenges when trying to find the best prices for products they need. Local markets frequently have varying prices and promotions, making it time-consuming for shoppers to manually compare options. Additionally, there's a lack of a centralized platform to easily access information about local market offers and product availability.
The goal:
The mobile app addresses these issues by providing a one-stop solution for consumers: It aggregates information on local market offers and promotions, It offers a powerful product search function, reducing the effort required to find specific items, It presents a clear and intuitive price comparison table and It allows users to create and manage shopping lists efficiently.
Understanding the User
User Research Summary:
User research for the Best Deal app involved in-depth interviews, surveys, and usability testing with a diverse group of potential users. The research uncovered user frustrations for being unable to know the offers from markets and to save a product based on best price to their shopping list. These insights informed the development of a user-centric app focused on addressing these pain points and enhancing the overall user experience.
User Personas
Design process:
Paper Wireframes:
I designed paper wireframes to have an initial idea about the design before beginning with the wireframes in figma.
Digital Wireframes:
After ideating and drafting some paper wireframes, I created the initial designs for the Best deal app design. These designs focused on checking offers in different supermarkets and compare product prices.
Low-Fi Prototype:
To prepare for usability testing, I created a low-fidelity prototype that connected the user flow of the app.
